Hey, I'm Olivia
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Brighton, United Kingdom.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many relocations for expats, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The first months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning were part of it. But gradually, routines began to take shape. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Orbit Pollen Haven
Most information online fell into either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)
This site provides:
- Hands-on experience from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site isn't:
- An official tourism board resource
- A sponsored review site
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Brighton or anywhere in United Kingdom, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Olivia
